I'd like to upgrade the lights in my 95 so that I can see. What lights should I be looking for, HID or Halogen? I'd like something with a "replaceable" bulb and then I can buy higher wattage bulbs...............

I found using the search feature is a very helpful thing. Plus it reduces the ammounts of threads that get added everyday. (Maybe I should be useing it more ) Anywho, here this should help you out some http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...ght+conversion

I just installed the Hella Halogen lamps. Easy job, looks great.
You know, I just thought of this....If your front fog light lens's are foggy looking you can use sand paper and clear them up. When your done sanding use plastic polish and it will make them look new again. I will be doing this in a few weeks except I will be shaving all those annoying little "dot" numbers and such off. I am getting tired of the wax getting traped in the letters. I will be doing this to every lens on the car. It will take me a while but to me its worth it. I know its probablly illegal but I doubt a cop will pull me over for that...like he could see them anyway
H4 are good bulbs--lots of replacements available--Cibie, Bosch, Hella should all make headlights you could use. I would stay away from the blue supposed HID bulbs.
Thanks for the help guys, I was leaning towards the halogens rather than the HID's. Do you need to install a relay when installing the halogens or can the OEM wiring handle the extra needed output?
TIA............

I have the Hella's with 80/100W H4's. The stock wiring seems to be handling the extra wattage with no difficulties.
True HID's cost many hundreds of dollars, and the incandescent "HID"/blue bulbs selling for $19.95 are not worth the money. Stick with the lens brands mentioned by zoro, use Philips or Sylvania 100W H4 bulbs, and you can't go wrong.

Sylvania SilverStars are an inexpensive upgrade, but give nowhere near the results of a Bosch, Cibie, or Hella with 100W standard white bulbs.
Cool blues, HID-like, etc. are cheap...literally and figuratively... gimmicks.

How much are Bosch bulbs then? I might have to get a flitz too and to the lights. And in an attempt to not have to go outside and get my manual, which ones do I get again?
I just recently purchased a 10,000k H4 High/Low HID kit. it installs easily it took approx 1.5 hrs its just a little more than a headlight swap but it is still a plug and play no running of wires and no cutting of wires. Everything just plugs in and the balast is mounted to the fiberglass frame on the flip up headlight. Here are some pics durring daylight.
