The clear coat on my wheels looks really crudy. Is there anyway to strip it off and apply a new coat? Thanks

 

yes. Ecklers sells a kit to do just that.

another option is to remove the clear and polish them, but that takes time.

You could also do what I did... clean them, degrease them and let them dry. I then simply primed and painted them black with a rattle can. It ain't perfect, but it was cheap!
