Is this normal?

Yesterday, in my LT1, I was in stop-and-go traffic for about 45 mns with the Climate control/AC off, and she ran very hot (223-230). I accidentally decided to put my windows up and turned the Climate control/AC on, in the same stop and go traffic and the engine temp went down to the 160's.

Is this normal?

Yes, although the 160 part is a bit of a stretch. Mine will drop to maybe 200 or 195. You might have a 160 thermostat in there.

Yes, its normal . Both electric fans run full time with the a/c on.

What is normal?
Seems that everyone that gets caught in traffic turns a/c on and car runs cooler?? Mine runs hotter and I have to turn a/c off and sweat..

I would check your fans to see if they actually come on when the a/c is on. There are a number of things that make the engine overheat.
