Default Need help on LT1 information

I'd like to get up to speed on what performance stuff is available for the LT1 engine. I am looking for PCM programming, header manufacturers, engine parts, rear parts and availability of same, converters and so on. Also what if anything is different between the 92 to 96 LT1's related to the performance parts. Any help will be appreciated.

Take a look at the various catalogs for Corvettes--Eckleers, Corvette Central, MidAmerica, etc., then also, Jegs, Summit Racing, etc. Go back through some of the tech threads re headers, rears, LT1, etc. It's pretty well divided betw. L98s and LT1s. Check out some of the vendors' web pages (on the left side of this forum). That should be a pretty good start.

Pretty much all of the upgrades that you did to your C5 are available for late model C4s and as you already know, none of the good stuff is inexpensive.

LT4CompYell gave you the good places to look

That is the problem..I cannot, it seems find long tube headers for the LT1's. The L98 has long tubes or mid length listed but not the LT1's and the "shorties" don't really do anything. It's things like that I want to find out about. Mackey, what headers did you use again??

I don't know about NJ but in the PRC long tubes are illegal.

Check out stainless works. Infact go to the C4 parts for sale section and "search" for stainless works group buy, it was around December and you'll find a LOT of info on LT headers for the LT1

Also check out Exotic Muscle for Lt1 LT headers.

Hey Dennis, glad to see you back.

Carmen is developing long tubes for the LT1, but I haven't heard anything lately.

I haven't had any tuning done to my car and thus have no first hand recomendations for PCM mods however it seems that a lot of folks here have had sucess with PCMforless who is a supporting vendor here.
