Man, I've had CLUTCH SLAVE problems for the past 3 to 4 years.
I'm having to add fluid weekly again — after having this thing replaced
(3) again last year. I'm thinking of replacing the SLAVE myself, if it is
in fact a SLAVE problem. I need some advice on how I should go about
tackling what seems to be pretty straight-forward. Should I anticipate
any real problems doing this MYSELF? Does it require 2 persons — 1 to
assist in the BLEEDING PROCESS etc. I have a 1994. THANKS ALL
Just takes some patience. Kinda hard to get the bolt by the exhaust. Does it drip or wet all around the bellhousing bottom? I did mine several months ago and had my wife help me bleed it. No leaks and works great. And it's an Oreilly part. If the fluid is black the hose is deteriorating too. I did use a baster to suck the fluid out of the master cylinder before hand. You can also gravity bleed the thing but takes awhile. Once all air is out I had to pump the clutch 40 or 50 times to finally get good pedal. Tech tips will tell you all the same stuff.
