Yeah that dash is sweet. The 'buy it now' price is fantasy land but I'd be curious to know what the reserve is. It would at least appear that they're being honest about things.

That's a dakota digital dash.
Not sure why anyone would install one, seems like a downgrade from the digital that GM put in, cost a thousand dollars, plus you lose a ton of features.
Here's mine...

WOW, $1000. I thought maybe it was someting less expensive than repairing stock.
And, CC, it does not suprise me to see you have an upgrade in your dash. Very cool .

Here I am an electronics tech. and I'm trying to figure out just how you did that. I've had my dash apart, and made several repairs on it. Never got to the LCD's as they were OK. I'm guessing a color change on the glass hummmmm.

There's a color gel in the dash that makes all the reds and greens. I took that out and made my own. It's a total pain in the *** unless you just want to make it one color.
Unfortunately, hard as I tried, you can't make the lettering white. The incandescents put out yellow light, and trying to blue filter them makes them too dim to see. It looks a little whiter in that pic because of the exposure of the camera.

I'm surprised you are still running your dash with that color set up. I tried that last year and took it out shortly after and returned it to stock. The blue was just not visible enough in daylight. Looks good at night but during the day looked like crap. I tried a lighter blue and it turned out a mint green and didn't look right.

Ok, I see, That would be a time consuming task. But it looks great, and it is unique just different from everybody else's. Kind of a signature of your personality. COOL!

A color gel??? Mine was just a thin colored peice plastic behind the LCD's. When the Lcd's function, they show the plastic behind them.
