IMHO they look very cheesey. They just dont look right. I guess its because they just stick on top of the plastic instead of replaceing the plastic.
-but I checked out a car that had black/grey carbon fiber inserts and it looked rather nice. Whatever trips your trigger but remember removing it will probably screw up the original finish and the next prospective owner, if any may pass on it because of that!
I kinda like them myself. In any case they can be an improvement over cracked black plastic.
Lexus owners seem to go for 'em - mebbe the dude that wants to buy your ride will also have one of those in his stable. I say, do what pleases you, not some mythical next owner.
Personally, I like them. I think it sets off my tan interior, with the black dash. They put them on almost all of the luxury cars for the same reason. It is a matter of personal taste, but if you do it make sure you get a quality product. If you consider doing it, drop me a pm and I can recommend where I got mine, I have been pleased with the product.

That's what made it so much more exciting, because there was nothing wrong with them.... I spent 6 years going every where because I was attached to a Special Forces unit. If I tell you any more I would have to......well you know..... lol
I like mine with the all black interior. It dosen't look good with many other interior colors though imo. It complements the black and tan colors the best. Most here don't like them regardless.
Hi. Does anyone have experience with wood dash kits? Do they look good ? cheesey?. thanks. Randy
Oppinions are like ___________ everybodys got one, so don't take it personal, but I think vehicals like the Lincoln, Cadillac, and luxury cars, look good with the wood dashes. Its is kind of a stereotype of a luxury car. Now a vette is a futuristic performance machine. I think with its styling, wood clashes with the nice lines, and theme of the auto. Now Carbon Fiber, or the aluminum look are what would set off the Vette. For some reason it just matches there theme. For what it is worth... Thanks...

Well said. I agree with beerman that my tan interior looks good with the wood dash. Have had them for long while, always get complimented from people. Although, I'm getting a little bored with them lately, so I might try to use them as templates to maybe fab my own brushed aluminum set. I say maybe a few panels of aluminum, a pair of snips, a good drill bit and some stainless screws + a weekend.

Yep I got one of those _________________ like every one else and with yours....
I agree with everyone else also. I think the car would look better with carbon fiber (I wouldnt put it in my car) since early c4s have such modern lines.
we bought our 1st vette @ carlisle--a torch red c4. had wood dash insets. we didn't give it a thought---nor did the gent to whom we sold the car. in fact, we made approx $2k on the transaction from our purchase to our sale & owned the car for 12-18 mos. must have been the dash inserts. bub
