For those of you who haven't had the pleasure of working with Aaron and Lynn at Captain Z I would suggest you give them a call or email if you are having problems with, or considering upgrading your actuators. They were willing to check out three actuators I sent them, two with cracked housings that didn't work. Two they were able to get working that were frozen, even tho they had cracked housings, they made them functional and charged me $25 to make them usable, suggesting I just epoxy the holes/cracks and use them till they quit then throw them away. The best one they rebuilt with their new gear set (an improvement over the oem plastic gears) and I have a better than new actuator for $125. A good service, and a good group to work with. If you are wondering what to do with your actuators contact aaron@captainzinc.com, I highly recommend them.
Sorry, I didn't even realize that the headlight motors were also referred to as actuators. I was referring to the FX3 shock actuators. It is an affordable alternative to buying new, $300+ units.
