Default Laying Rubber

I have a 94 automatic. What is the best way to lay rubber, peel out, smoke 'em, light 'em up, or whatever they call it these days? thanks.

I have a 95 A4 with 3.45s and some minor mods I have discovered the best way to lay a little rubber is to quickly push the throttle pedal down about 1 inch any more than that and I just sit, spin and finally fishtail.

Apply the brake at the same time you hit the throttle. that will enable you to burn rubber.

That's one of the first things I do after I start the car. I can't stand the ASR.

That is a nice way to lock up the brakes too if you do it wrong though. My friend did that in his civic (I hate to even say the name) and brake locked up.

Well, modulate the brakes with your other foot, that's how to do artsy burnouts.

OK, here we go...... At the race track before you get ready to make your run, NEVER on a public hwy. Spinning wheels gets you a ticket.
Turn off the ASR, hold your left foot on the brake, press on the gas pedal, modulate the brake pedal a little until you hear/smell the back tires burning, let off of the brake pedal and put the gas pedal on the floor. Hold the gas pedal on the floor as long as you want to burn off your tires or until the car is moving too fast.

Is this a rental? Want to do a "burn out", stand on it.
"I was rapping to the fuzz, can you dig it"? Smokey aint down on laying rubber. All you need to do is get them Rrr's up. It will lay down a patch, can you dig it?

ASR: Automatic Slip Reduction. Better known as traction control.

And there's a little button near your headlights that will turn it on and off (ASR). Read your instruction manual to see what it does for you.

Will it help if I try it while vehicle is facing uphill? Also, will it help if I cut the wheel hard to one side of the other? Lastly, what do they pour on the ground at the racetrack to smoke the tires just before a race?

Just put some black magic tire shine all over the ground and get ready to burn!

1. Turn of the ASR--automatic spin reducer
2. Get rear tires wet
3. REv it to about 3000 in neutral
4. Drop it into drive
5. Call wrecker
6. Call insurance agent
7. Call enterprise car rental
8. Call PeteK
9. Call off the cops
10. Hold your "stupid" sign up really high.

uphill would help, but you wont need tyo with the power your car has. turning the wheel will just make you spin. they spray chlorine on the tracks before the burnout that warms the tires
