Looking at C4 prices they are always rock bottom. And these references come from the forum .. Vette owners members and prospective owners seem to think any C4 over $9K is rediculous.
My 93 Ruby Vert has been restored to factory specs, and is like new, internally and externally. As all my other Vettes. I am a detail freak who insists they be perfect. No repair, REPLACE it new, don,t care what the cost is. I posted it for sale once here and caught hell so i retracted the sale. What,s a decent price for a 93 Ruby Vert fully restored in excellent condition.
I'll catch hell for this, but I'd probably rely on this forum for everything but pricing info. People here only talk about the low-priced ones they buy. Let's face it, those of us who found a nice one we fell in love with, and didn't know enough (or want to spend the time) to negotiate a much lower price, aren't going to brag about how MUCH we paid, right? There are a lot of folks out there like that and your objective is to find one. Not to rip them off, just to sell them a nice car at a fair price.
My guess is that the very bottom end of pricing is well-defined by looking at "completed listings" on EBAY. These are pretty low, but I think it reflects the risk of buying through that medium. I think KBB is not unrealistic as to what's actually going on. If you are looking to sell, cast a wide net (Cars.com, Autotrader.com) ask a fair price (I'd start between the pricate party and retail KBB price) and be open to negotiation but don't accept the first "good" offer. You might do better than you think.............
They are from my 03 C5 with the brand new oem tires from the factory that have 60 miles on them. swapped out when i received my Ronals LVT,s The sawblades are in my garage. I was going to throw them in for free with the new tires, but since you were SO SHARP to bring it to my attention...............
OH !! I almoast forgot the brand new $ 1,200.00 radio cd mp3 i put in ,but it,s moot now

Chill a bit, dude. It wasn't a slam. You went on and on about how you're such a perfectionist and how everything has to be just as it was from the factory. I just found it ironic that your picture doesn't match the words in many areas.
Oh, your car is worth what you and a buyer decide it is worth. You'll get many different opinions here but none of them matter. Value is determined at the time of sale, until then it's all just and your guess is as good as mine.

I think it's great that they're rock bottom. Perhaps that'll get some more enthusiasts, and if nothing else, I can always by a 2nd one on a whim.
You could probably swing 15K for it, maybe only 13K. It all depends on how long you're willing to wait it out. There is someone out there willing to pay 15K for a Ruby. So many of the other ones you're competing with are hyped up on the ad, but actually in mediocre condition. I got kinda depressed when shopping for mine, I wondered if they were all ****boxes. I ended up buying the least ****ty one I could find.

I would agree with a couple of other posts, I wouldn't try to sell my Vette here, and the pricing here is very low. I think people forget that prices vary in different parts of the country. Your car in the NW would bring a good 17k.
I also think that because a few got the deal of a life time that in their mind that is the price. Could be, but not real in my life. The bottom line is that you have to find the right @ss for the right seat. If someone is looking for a very sharp Ruby like yours, they will step up and pay the price.
I would post it in the big metro paper within a 100 miles from your house and in the Trader. I would think you would get some calls on it and if it's as clean as the picture and what you say, you should be able to sell it. Other wise, bring it up here and sell it.
The area your in makes a big difference. I paid $15,000.00 for my 93 coupe but it has low miles and it's perfect. Used cars have no real set price, condition, mileage and options are everything. I could have bought a different 93 for less but I wanted a white one and I wanted the red interior. The one I found had 34k miles and not even a rock chip. If you don't need the money list it high and be patient.
If the car is that nice I would guess 18k 19k to the right buyer.

Make a web site about the car, take pictures from every concievable angle, explain in detail everything about the car. Put the 40th anniversary info on it too. Put the link in all ads and even in your sig. You'll find a buyer that appreciates the quality of your Ruby
Sold my 59K A4 Ruby vert (both tops) for 16K 2 years ago with a web site. A dealer bought it for his personal use. I had the car so well represented in pictures several buyers where close to buying just on the pictures alone.

I was lucky to have sold my LT-4 CE last year before the prices took another dive.
Unfortunately, it seems like very few C4s are really hanging onto the value. If you really want to sell it, you are going to have to live with the market conditions. But, keep in mind that C3 prices did the same thing throughout the C5 run and now seem to be creeping up again with the release of C6. At some point down the road, I think a rubie will be one of the collectable C4s (a relative terms, I realize).
Seems like there is an argument that to the vette world, 2 generations old is has been, 3+ generations old is cool again. Who knows.
For my 89, KBB says a dealer should ask around $6300.
$5500 excellent condition from a private party, $4900 in good condition, $3700 in fair condition.
If I do a trade-in at the dealership, KBB says that $3200 is appropriate if the car is in excellent condition, I don't wanna even think about anything lower. It will just make me sad. I may as well just keep it and make it into a weekend hot rod and paint it "Dukes of Hazzard" orange.
If it makes you feel any better, I got one of those low-dollar Corvettes, and if I had to do it over I would spend considerably more and get a much nicer one.
I saw Ron's gorgeous mint-condition LT4 convertible at cruise-in, and even if he spent $10,000 more than I did he got a great deal.
