Default Sick Vette

I killed my automatic transmission yesterday. I was in the middle of a Hooters Corvette Poker Run having a great time then no 4th no power under 3000 rpm. Limped home, a/c off , one eye on temps. I think a red hot torque converter took out my rear main oil seal the last mile or so. My car is a 94 with 108,000 mi. on it. I plan to have her towed to a repair shop this week. I am going to talk to Automotive Performance Unlimited in Fort Worth, they do the work on a friend’s C3. Does anybody know of a good shop in my area?

It’s fun to spend $$ on the Vette. I see lots of fun coming my way. ha ha

Its a little far from you but I like to use:

http://www.corvettesofdallas.com
(972) 242-7665
1810 North Interstate 35E
Carrollton, TX 75006

The head mechanic there owns a C4 & has it all decked out. Several other mechanics there on C4's as well. They really know what they are doing. However they aren't cheap. $80.00 / hour. For minor stuff I usually call them & ask for their opinion first befroe I decide to work on it myself or for problem solving advice.

Also, Corvettes of Dallas is owned by the same guy that owns Corvettes of Houston.

Good luck.
