replacement for factory reverse lockout shifter?
Does anyone know if there are any better designs produced for a '90 with manual trans.? Pulling the button up while shifting into reverse is a pain in the butt.

Yes, the Hurst short throw shifter has this design feature eliminated.
However, grinding gears as you go towards 5th (And brush the reverse synchro) sucks too!
I personally miss the reverse lockout.
Of course, an idiot auto technician break your shifter as he tries to engage reverse (not realizing there is a reverse lockout) sucks bad too.

Now that you put it THAT way...nevermind! I'll deal with the pain in the butt.

How does that happen? The synchro doesn't get nicked until you move the shifter all the way to the right AND down.

Then I guess its 6th? Obiviously its not intentional.
I dont know, its just annoying and I wish I still had the reverse lockout.
