My wife's uncle bought a 96 tripple white with 25k on it for $20000!! It may just be me but that sounds way to expensive for what it is, any thoughts? thanks

...last year for white interiors was 1993, so it sounds like he may not have gotten what he thought
Probably not out of line at all for a clean car. I will be buying a 96 convert this fall, have been shopping, there are all kinds of very low mile ones around, anywhere from $24 to $30 large. The car you are talking about probably sold for about $40 ten years ago, if like new is probably worth what he paid for it, IMO.
So, gray could be misinterpreted as "white". Or, then again, someone could've done a color swap on the seats and other parts of the interior. It's been done before. Someone wanted, but couldn't get a white interior, so they created it.
I'd say the price could be in line for an A-1 condition car. Bruggerman's correct; they are out there and someone's buying them.
Really? I dont think he new this, Ill let him know. thanks
If he loves the car, (he must, he bought it) then the price really doesn't matter. What has he done to you that makes you so eager to burst his bubble? It sounds to me that it's not so much about his being ripped of as it does that you don't want him to be happy...Jeez, I need to see a shrink!

I don't know. There was one on a car lot here a couple months ago for $18k that had at least 2x that many miles on it. Someone bought it though I have no idea for how much.
Most people do want to pay a fair price for their car, even a Corvette. If the guy who purchased the car had posted on here, asking for honest opinions on what he paid, there would be several (including me) suggesting that the price seems a little high. It's not way off the mark though.
