Any suggestions for removing and properly aligning the front bumper? It is set too far back and closer in the middle than the outsides. The outsides ride to low near the wheels. The hood is set far back as a result. I just want it to look right.
I removed my front bumper to align everything up and its still not perfect. I need to do it again. However all you need to do is raise the hood. Put a towel in front of the hood so you dont scratch it while using a box wrench to take out the bolts along the front of the car on top of the bumper. You then need to remove bolts underneath the car near the ground spoiler. Then you need to remove the bolts that hold the bumper by the side marker lights inside the wheel wells. Its alot of work but I can do it now in less than an hr since I had it off 2 times already.
The next thing to do in order to align the hood with bumper evenly is to adjust the spring and bump stops that sits by the windshield in the latch areas. Another is to loosen the bolts that sits next to the headlight motors. You will have to play around with it while everything is loosened up with bumper off. You will have to put it on and take it off several times to try and align everything up. Once you get that then tighten everything. It's very time consuming. I had a buddy help me and it would be helpful if you do the same. It is no fun task.
