Well, I just ordered #603-408 from Mid-America. They claim it has a "throaty, european sound". Not that I want to sound European (no slam intended) as my car is born and bred in the USA, I want a sound a little different that just a low pitched rumble. For $150.00 (plus welding) it will be interesting to see how it sounds compared to my worn out mufflers I have now. They are a mess and resonate like crazy at all RPM and speeds.

I got the "ZR1 Style Straigh Thru mufflers" from mid America about 2 years ago..
They have the square chrome tips.
They sounded good, fit okay. But really woke up when I gutted the cat.
Smooth Rumble @ idle, Intimidating @ Passing speed. I can detect NO resonance. Only problem is the pop when you let off the gas from a higher RPM is more pronounced.
But thata ll I could find wrong with them.
I looked @ the BB Tri-Flow, too noisy, looked @ the Flow masters, too much resosnace, Corsa and Borla are too expensive...
And the muffler elimitantors are too raspy. I think I made the right choice!

I put these on my first Vette, a 92 LT1 Coupe. Had to go back to stock because the drone would drive me nuts on the highway. Around town, top off, nice sound. Every Vette since I have spent the bux and gone with Corsa. Well worth the extra money. Good luck.
I put these on my 88 A4 about six months ago, and I love them. Perfect sound for me. Everybody has a different "ear" so you may think differently. I also like the smaller look. The original mufflers always looked way too big for a sports car to me. They were changed for a better fit recently, mine bolted right up. Getting the old mufflers off was the worst part. I finally took the whole assembly off from the cat back so I could get at it with my 4 inch carbide cutter. Just make sure not to cut the "Y" pipe also (I nicked mine a little but it doesn't show). I painted the "Y" pipe and spare tire carrier semi flat black hi-temp paint, and it looks very clean and tidy to me.

The quality is pretty crappy, but they look fine, and sound throaty.
I had them on my car awhile back. The sound is decent, but the quality is very poor. Mine rusted out pretty bad in about 1.5 years and this is on a car that rarely sees bad weather. I guess you get what you pay for.
Very nice even at that RPM, you can already tell. So roughly a 1-2 yr life span? How was highway noise? I like a good amount of noise on accel though. Thanks for the clip! Looking forward to next time you test it out. How much are these btw?

for what $129 a pair? they sound fine, they have some resonance around 3000 rpm (maybe?), but I like 'em. Mine are rusted out, but so are the rest of my pipes, so it's time for true dual, yes? I think so
They do make stainless steel ones if you are worried about the rust. I got the cheaper ones to, and they have rusted. However, its just surface rust on the chrome part, which can be sanded and painted if need be.
I know we all get what we paid for and nothing compares to stainless. I find myself drooling over some of the cars you guys have on here and often wonder "how in the heck do guys have so much extra $ to put X amount into their toys when most of us have either children, a house or both?". I also have a mortgage, a car payment and a motorcycle. So, even though I love my car, I have to be "reasonable". I rarely drive my car except on perfectly clear, dry days. Since I bought it, it has never seen snow or even rain.
Anyway, thx for the input. It sounds like some of you like them for what their worth and a couple don't but like someone said, everyone has a different ear.
