I'm leaving Thursday morning from the West Michigan area and taking a high speed ferry across Lake Michigan to Milwaukee and then down to my motel in Aurora, IL. This way I avoid the 80/94/294 catastrophe and get to take my baby on a cruise!
I will park in the Forum parking area. I have the Corvette Forum Placard on the dash with my cell# if anyone wants to get together.
Weather looks to be mid 80s to low 90s with some sunshine and 10-15 mph SE winds.
Here's a tip. When it comes time for lunch, drive to the Target store just to the West of Pheasant Run and get your self a sandwich and a pop and avoid the outrageous resort high prices.
We plan on being there Sat. and going on road tour.
Same for us.
Ron, when I took the "slow" ferry across the Lake, I discovered that you can't drive/park your car on the ferry as they have "attendants" that do that. It kind of made me nervous ... but it all worked out
I can't wait. Its been about 4 yrs. Sold my 90 vert for a bigger house. I got a 91 coupe now. Following family and friends. Approximately 5 Corvettes going. It'll be great!
Forgive my ignorance, I plan on going tomorrow, never attended before and wasn't aware that there was a CF area. How do you locate it? Are there parking folks who you ask about it? I assume it is a part of the goldfield?

Let us know how it is, OK? I'd love to hear about any sweet LT4 'verts being offered for sale. (Not yours, Ron, I know. It's going back to GA after you've had your summer fun with it.)
The dream of acquiring one of those has sort of taken on a life of its own for me. It's beginning to seem a lot like my old, married-man's sex life , you know - "seems like all I do is think about it and talk about it"? One of these days I'm gonna pull the trigger (on the LT4, anyway).
We're driving the family Malibu in tomorrow, as our 12 year old son wants to tag along, and he's never attended the show.
Saturday, we'll drive the 95 and plan on arriving late morning. We're really looking forward to the Tour Saturday night.
We live near Chicago, so we'll drive back home after the Tour, do a quick wash/dry, and get ready for Sunday morning.
Since the car is pretty much original, we also decided to enter it into Gold Judging. We have to have the car back early Sunday morning for that, so it will be a busy (but hopefully rewarding) weekend.
If any of you want to lend moral support, come find me at the judging field Sunday. I'll be near the black 95 coupe with red Bloomington plates (#315).
