Car Show
Here's my methodology...
1. Quick wash just to have a base, something to work with.
2. Clean motor compartment with Simple Green.
3. Clean wheels for a first time.
4. Shine up the motor and under hood with some shine agent.
5. Clean interior.
6. Shine up interior with said shine agent. (usually use the old stand by Armour All)
7. Shine up all black and rubber weather strip.
8. Clean windows for a first time.
9. Attack wheel wells.
10. Wash car real good this time.
11. Clean wheels again.
12. Shine wheel wells.
13. Wax car.
14. Clean windows again.
15. Touch up anything missed the first two times around.
By that time anything can be done with rags and my favorite cleaners. I'm sure I missed or reversed some things I do but it's a hell of a long process and there has to be an easier way. Anyway there's a local show this weekend, it's the only one I go to because detailing a car I like to drive is hellishly labor intensive.
This is the result though...
. Just kidding look at the shine
it looks like all your hard work definitely paid off that's one stunning looking Vette
But I will get it cleaned up again. The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
Before I even get to the final cleaning of the windows though I use either "Bar Keeps Friend" or "Bon Ami" on them during the wash phase.
BTW, that's a 90,000 mile car, factory original.
