I did a LOT of reading on LT4's all over the web, and also checked dynos, track times, etc.. They range from 13.5's to 12.8's , and 106-112trap speeds) STOCK or with very minor mods (mufflers, K&N max).. That pretty much equivalent to what I've read and posted here. Can't prove it unless you open a thread for stock LT4 dynos and track numbers, which is what I did for LT1s before.

Congrats tobijohn!!!

If stuff is flying around in the cabin more, then I think it sounds like more fun.
I drive my vette just for fun and it sounds like the LT4 is more fun.
Now how do I convince the wife that we need one?

I loved mine. It was a strong car and tons of fun.
Dyno'd 305 RWHP and I got it in the 12.90s on street tires.

GM and the buying public also believed that 30HP was worth getting all giddy about because the LT-4 option sold quite well.

1-2% 360-370chp
1/2% over 370chp
Those were only 40 out of how many LT4 '96s on the market? How many thousands? Besides looking at those dynos makes me think the 340-350CHP is more than only 3-5%.. MOST of those stock dynos were right in that..
And yes ,there were two at the end that list, that hit 350CHP+ STOCK. Not bad at all I'd say.
Most cars with just an exhaust and K&N were around 375+CHP..
As most corvette owners, an exhaust and a K&N is considered a mild and basic modification.. Heck I don't know many C4's that don't have that done at least..
This isn't supposed to be an LT4 vs LT1 debate though.. They are both great. Heck I have an LT1 that runs like a raped ape bone stock. Just aswering a members' questions that's all.
