Default Instructions for replacing door seals

Happy F-day to all the dads out there...

Anyone know where I can find some instructions for installing inner and outer door seals on an 84? I could take out the old ones easily enough, but there are 3 rivit like things in the door. Plus the new outer comes with something that looks like a nail....I have no idea what to do with them.

Anyone who knows of a link or what to so, I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

I haven't done the inner ones, but the outside seals are pretty easy. As you apparently have already found the outter ones are held in place with the rivets. These must ne drilled out.....very carefully, if you go too deep you will drill out the outside skin of the door, this wouldn't be good. Use a stop on the bit to prevent going too far (wrap masking tape tightly around the bit to build up the diameter and sstop you when you go through, only leave about 1/4" of the bit exposed). Once the rivet are out you can just lift the outter swipe off. Putting the new ones on can be a pain the clips don't just slip on. I had to use a rubber mallet to tap them on. The As far as the "nail" like things, I can only guess that they are the replacement rivets. I, however used a "pop-rivet" gun with aluminum 3/16" rivets to put them back on. I hope this helps.

Thanks for the info. When I go to drill out the rivets (sorry if I am naive) what size drill bit do you recommend?

If I remember correctly I used a 3/16" or maybe 13/64", pretty sure it was 3/16" If you have any more questions just post them up here or PM me.
