Upper A-Arm help!!!
how do i get the beam out of the Upper A-arm on the front suspension of my '84? the one that i cant get out is the one that goes through the bushings and is bolted to the frame.

You can't do it when it's in the car. Not going to happen. You need to remove the whole control arm from the car.

how did you get it off in one piece? remove the plastic on the outside?

On mine the side with the hood prop was a PITA because the hood prop base was there. I only moved it out of the way just enough to fish out control arm. The other side was easy. My hood prop is different than yours and on the opposite side though.
