Eye Candy.....56K beware

I saw the "off-road" diddy and figured, must be for a truck! That stuff
would work nice in my Blazer.

LOL...that's #2 for "rock-crawling". I think they have to put that on there in case you fail emissions. Hence the "off highway" clause. Hmm, are they automotive engineers or politicians??
I still have parts to get, and Monday's coming up fast. I suppose I'll have time, what with the block and rotating assembly having to head out to the machine shop. !!!I just can't take this kind of pressure and suspense!!!

383 Cubes
Hot cam
1.6 rr
GM Extreme Duty double roller timing set
P&P heads and mani
10.8 - 11 : 1 (still doing the math)
Single mass Centerforce Steel flywheel (10 or so lbs lighter than OE)
Unfortunately I had to choose between P&P and headers/exhaust. I chose to go with P&P instead because then the motor work's pretty much all done. I figure I'm leaving a little power corked up for next summer
. Sort of a leftover present for my next birthday. Seeing as how I'm 30 this year, the Vette was my wife's gift to me, and the mods are my gift to myself. It sort of bites though, I budgeted myself about $6500 and I ran into the roof right-quick. Fortunately I was able to get most everything done within that budget, parts and labor included. I'm no nincompoop with a wrench, but I have no garage and this is a little out of my league.
Anyways, Thaks in advance for any replies. I know it's a bit foolish to ask a question like this, but I'm just curious what the more experienced among the forum might guess at.

I always figured them Off Road Use Only! stickers meant you have to take the vehicle off the road long enough to put the new parts in!!
Good luck with the project. Looks like all good stuff! I still need some of those rockers for my project motor!

have fun
