The part I'm after is part of the a/c system. Its a 93. the AC line right before it goes into this unknown part has been broken. When the motor was removed it happened. Its not a great pic but I'm hoping someone might be able to point out what it is and what part i need. the part is to the left (drivers side) of the coolant tank. You can see the big silver a/c line run along the passenger side towards the part. there is a joint, then a plug for a sensor (probably a/c pressure ?) and the line is broken right after the plug for the sensor before it goes into this unit. help ?
I circled the place where the line is broken (behind the black hose). I also tried to show the part in yellow where the line goes into.. what is it?
Are you talking this piece??? or the one below it....
If it's this piece, it's a Large Bore, high side, R12 Piedmont valve. If you broke this piece it's good news, you won't need it. Your car is a 1993, which is the last year for R12. To convert over to R134 you must remove this piece.
You will need a special socket called a Piedmont fitting socket Napa #200314 to remove the old fitting from the line. Then Napa#409904 fitting to screw into the line. You will also need Napa#409918 socket to install the new fitting.
In the future, for us to help you, you need a better pictures of your problem area.

Appreciate the help.. here's another picture. I squared the part.. It's like a box or something for the ac. My line is broken right 'before' it goes into this unit.
I'll get a pic up of my actual motor i just can't find my camera atm :/

That is your Evaporator.
When I was in the Navy we had saying for everything (mostly electronics)... To easily remember the Parts for a AC system, I came up with this saying: "Can Corvette Owners Ever Accumulate". (Which means to me, I spend way too much money on my car"....)
CAN = Compressor
Corvette = Condensor
Owners = Orifice Tube
Ever = Evaporator
Accumulate = Accumulator
Here is a drawing..... (PS Zoom in on the part next time. If you show the damage, the guys on the forum might be able to help you)
