That and you should NOT use fabric softener it will cause streakes
no dryer sheet either !!!

My car has its own towels.
In fact, (because I also live alone) the car has more towels than I do.

Serious.

Now thats an interesting question. Because I have an unusual story about that. We have a several cats, but the oldest female (she is about 14 now) really loves my wife. Funny, I guess cats are like people in a way. There are some that like me more, and some that like my wife more. Anyway this older female would bring my wife gifts every morning for a long time. She would bring the gifts to the front door, then annouce very loud, that she had something for her. We would open the door, and it would be a nice clean rag. 2 -55 gallon trash bags full later. I still don't know where in the hell she got them. I've been using them for years. However, I still steal some from the house. Oh, isn't that terrycloth the ultimate for cleaning parts???

Cute cat/towel story. Bet you have a neighbor somewhere going slowly crazy over the missing towels. We had a cat that did the samething, but just brought dead mice, birds, moles, snakes and other cherished dead objects to the door.

I've seen plenty of that stuff to, and the cat really thinks it's done you the ultimate favor...

Actually we had neighbor cat do us big favor this spring. We had a stupid Red Bird that was in love with itself and spent all day trying to hang on the side of the cars and look at itself in the side mirrors. Of course we ended up with bird **** all over the side of the car. Got so bad if I had to park outside I covered the mirrors with rags. One day the bird spent too much time adimiring itself and the cat got the bird.
Guess there is a morale to this story somewhere, but I won't worry about that, just glad the dam bird is gone for good.

I took a large stainless steel mixing bowl once to drain oil from some vehicle or another. I thought it would be a bad idea to try to put it back into rotation as a popcorn bowl after that.

This was years ago, and I still hear about at least once a month.

My wife collects Carnival glass. That stuff is ugly. I shoulda used the punchbowl.

Hmmm Couple hundred bucks for an oil drain pan...sounds about right

Seriously mine has its own Microfiber towels and diapers (no flames...they are great detail cloths) ...My wife liked the microfiber towels so she bought some for our bathroom

You want to actually be careful not to run your detail towels though the wash using fabric softner....not sure why but it actually leaves a residue that can create issues/marks etc...at least according to the car care forum guys and the Zaino folks

I use a squegee thing to get the water off my car. For everything else, I have a huge roll of shop towels.
