My '96 CE has the "FE1" Soft Ride Suspension build code. The trailing arms appear to be fiberglass rods. Is this type trailing rod a part of the Soft Ride option?

As far as I know, the trailing arms are all the same. Just bushings, sway bars, springs and shocks differ.

I have seen cast aluminum trailing arms in the project illustrations I referenced for my diff rebuild and I wondered why the shafts of my trailing arms were fiberglass rods instead of aluminum.

I'm pretty sure they switched to fiberglass TA's in '95 or '96.
