luckily, they're removable. the real history behind the GS fender stripes is lost with what's going on now with them.
honestly, there's really nothing all that wrong with that visual mod, particularly since its easily reversible (i think). i'll get smacked for this, no matter, imho its almost like some kid putting stickers on their car thinking it makes them appear to go faster.

NOt only the cost, you should see the quality of the "build" on his car...no kidding.
If you want them as an accent piece, ok. Truthfully, it looks better on some cars than others.
I once had a factory jobbie, try to imagine this: pale yellow (well, not really, really pale but pretty pale) with not one but two thick white stripes. Pale yellow and white stripes are not the best. I liked them, but I had to: it was my car and I wasn't about to remove them.
As Hotrod said, at least it's removable in case it doesn't look "grrrrrreeeeaaaaattttt!"
