[IMG][/IMG]For a while now I've been wanting to get another C4.But here's what I've been thinking. I'm looking for a runner but paint and interior pretty much shot. I was thinking of painting it in the Roger Penske 1966 Sunoco L88 Blue/yellow theme with the torque thrust wheels and all.Including decals/sponsers. Kind of like a retro racecar. Also maybe go with rollbar/proformance upgrades.
Would this just look stupid? Would it look cool? I'm looking for some real responses. Not whatever floats your boat type.
I like blue/yellow paint on a Vette and really like the Torq Thrust II wheels (if those are the ones you meant). However, until I see them together I'm not sure they would compliment each other or not. As for decals I agree with the above -- it wouldn't look right (and perhaps even stupid) on a street car and might upset some officers (a lot of them target the "rice" crowd and pull them over for no real reason -- the decals on a street car may enter that territory).
go for it. I love modified cars. I hardly even give a nice restored stocker a second look. I likew the paint idea, and if you are going that far, put the decals on too.
First, I think that the C4 would look cool painted that way. I do agree with some of the others that the decals would detract.... but if you are going for that look then add them. Remember, in the long run it's what looks good to you ..... not some youngster in central california
Second, in looking at the C5 that CentralCoaster posted I think that the car looks sharp .... except for the wheels. Coming to that conclusion I went back and looked at the Pinske car. I think that perhaps having just the spokes of the TTIIs powercoated yellow and leaving the Rim & the center polished might look better to me .... but again, it's what looks good to you.
Best of luck in the project

I hope to begin this project in the next year or so. I've considered going with the corvette challange route, But I'm looking for something unusual/eye catching, something you don't see all the time.
Now that you have posted the pic... I think someone has already photoshopped what you are describing -- Its been a while so I will go do a search and see if I can locate the thread...
