I’d like to share my 43 day C4 experience with all my C4 brothers.
I had orders to attend a military school at Fort Lee in Hopewell, VA from 1-28 June 2006.
-May 22nd: Oil Change, Mobil 1 5W30
-05:30AM May 23rd: I departed from California to Virginia, during this journey I visited Billy the Kid’s grave, Graceland and The National Corvette Museum. I made it to the museum on Saturday, the last day of CF rally. Visiting the museum inspired me to drive the Corvette regardless of gas prices!!
-1:00PM May 29th: Arrived Destination
-From CA to VA I drove thru the following states: CA-AZ-NM-TX-OK-TN-KY-TN-NC-VA.....Lots of Cops in Amarillo, TX.
-While I was in VA I drove to New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington DC, and Chesapeake, VA to meet with the CF Rat Pack and the Hooters Girls
-12:00PM Jun 28th: Departed from Virginia to California, during this journey I visited St. Louis’ Arch.
-From VA to CA I drove thru the following states: VA-NC-TN-KY-IL-MO-OK-TX-NM-AZ-CA.
-10:00AM Jul 3rd: Arrived California/Home.
-12:00PM Jul 4th: Oil Change, Mobil 1 5W30. Fixed the gas gauge problem, it was indicating empty with 4 gals left in the tank. Took the pump assembly out and bent the floating device downward, now with the reserve light on the tank has 3 gals left.
-In 43 days and driving thru storms, rain, sand, hot dry & humid weather and stocked in heinous traffic (Wash DC 495S, Dallas TX 35W) the 10 year old mighty LT1 gave me 8,994 miles of flawless performance with 22.4 MPG. Temperature never went over 225 F. Amazingly, you can look for yourself; it burned no oil during those 8,994 miles. I waived to over 200 Corvettes
