A little HELP !!!!
Pick up a rock and punctured the AC condenser o my 95'. A shop quoted $350-400.00 to fix. How much is envolved in taking out the condenser? I has probaly lost all fo the refrigerent, so would I still need to evacuated the system? No AC, Glass roof and 90+ degrees makes for one hot ride.

If it were me, I'd let them do it. Assuming we're talking new, the part is probably close to 1/2 that amount. Probably need to buy the little tool set to disconnect the lines...cheep, but something else to buy anyway. Then you'd have to or at least should take it in to be evacuated, purged, and recharged. Then hope there are no problems with the new part or your installation. At the end of the day you'd save at best $100-$150. Not worth the extra hassle to me. jmo
