OK, I am getting ready to buy new rotors and pads. Based on the many threads posted here and positive feedback from Jet Jock I have decided to buy the AC Delco Durastop ceramic pads. I have a place to get all 4 for $148.00 plus S&H. Is that a good price?
As for the roters my car is a 96 vert, correct color (red/black) with no mods and used as a weekend ride only with only limited high speed runs. Do I realy need a drilled and slotted rotor? I do want to get them zinced so they don't rust. Any recommendations and what do you think would be a reasonable to good price.
Thanks in advance.

Price on the pads sounds reasonable, about what I paid for Bosch ceramic at local Advanced Auto (the don't stick them, but got them for me same day from their Atlanta warehouse). Ceramic pads are the way to go. Let me put my flamesuit on----ok. Drilled rotors can crack under heating, slotted rotors are ?? to me. I just run stock rotors and think all 4 were about $100 off ebuy (sp). Made in Canada rotors, NOT made in China.
I think you will have the J55 rpo--13" front rotors on your 96.
Pads are ok. Might go either solid Napa rotors all around or tirerack's solid rotors, whichever brand fits your car.
No, I don't think you need either slotted or drilled unless you just crave the look. I have brembo solids in another car up front and they are good rotors but they don't make a solid 13" for the Corvette.
So, pick another and it should be ok. Just don't get cheap and crappy; you want something that you don't have to worry about either in stopping ability or longevity.
I think cryo, zinc are a little too much -- jmo tho. Tell us how it all comes together--better yet, pics when it's all done!!!!
