Hi to all
A little bit about myself. My wife and I are currently in the Army, she is a medic and I'm a Drill Sergeant for now. We have 2 girls, 8 and 3 months old. So you see why I need a vette
So here is my question on that......has anyone did the LT1/LT4 engine upgrade with LPE, DRM etc...and was it worth it?
I've been looking and there is a lot of nice C-4's with high mileage that are cheap, so I'm thinking I could get one of those and do the 383 package and have a nice fast vette. That's my train of thought.
Well I look forward to getting advice from all you experts!!!

Here is a link from the Grand Sport registry. Click on the GS buyer's guide and you will find a nice checklist that also applies to LT1s and Lt4s.
Let us know what you find.

Well I look forward to getting advice from all you experts!!!
Just ordered all the weather stripping for it. Seats or covers next, then a turbo stroker motor..
Actually a box of screws to put all the insides back togather might have to come before the stroker!

and welcome. If you want stock fast in the C4 generation find a 96 with the LT4 and M6. They are very close to 350hp stock and will generally outrun the C5s. Of course the ZR1s are nice, but I think I heard you say cheap, which rules out any solid ZR1.
I think the fun part is looking anyways, which I have done for a LONG time. Just has never been the right time. I think I'm the only one who has al the t-shirts, along with my family, and posters with NO vette. I go to all the big races in Bowling Green since I'm only 1 HR away ( Gathering, ZO6 fest etc) and tape all the drags and cars. One day I can take my vette.
Thanks again...........
I'm origianally from Washington State, that's were my family resides. If u get chance go to the corvette weekend up in Whistler, I've been there 3 or 4 times, they put on a good weekend, car show, slaloom races dinner etc...Whistler is gorgeous.
Thanks, again.
