Default L99?

Ok so I was readig the information wikipedia had on the corvette and it states that in early 1994 cars the L99 a 4.3L v8 was available on the corvette as well as the LT1. I have never heard of a L99 and i thought the 4.3L was a DOHC 24V V6 used on the Olds Cutlass. Anybody ever hear of this before.

Just wondering
Tony

That was NOT the Corvette version... that was the base Caprice version. It was based on the LT1 architecture, tho.

The only engines available for 1994 were the LT1 and LT5. That entry is wrong.

ah, ok.

that is a common warning when folks are looking for an LT1 block, not to get the L99!

wikipedia is NOT correct in some of what they say - just cause it is on the internet, doesn't make it factual
