I have ordered 2 front and 2 rear adjustable Koni shocks. My questions is I have 48,000 miles on a 95 vette that still has the original Delco/Blistien shocks on there, they do not leak.
Will I notice a difference when I install the Koni's??
The Koni's are about twice the price of new Blistiens.
You'll be happy. I have the red koni only because the sports are not made for my year. No problem, I have em set at 3/4 and are a great improvement over stock. I set them that high for autocross so won't need to go that high for street (unless you want to ). Enjoy.
I need some new shocks too, the previous owner put crappy KYB shocks. They're the worst brand of shocks i've ever used. I also had them on my old truck and it was just aweful. $25 a piece no wonder they suck.
I've heard Konis are really good, how much are they?
Looked them up at Jegs: $102.99 each ('84-'96), $145 each for Sport ('86-'96)

$102 each is what I paid. I found Jegs to be the cheapest. Some folks here like the KYB. I used both in the past and Koni are far better.
Ordered some yellow konis from tirerack on the 14th, they are shipping today....two days early. Seen some posts stating a mod for the rear to make them adjustable w/o removal....hoping for some better details on exactly where to drill the holes.

I wouldn't cut up the car. You set them and thats it. There shouldn't be a need to make more adjustments after you get them were you want them. These aren't FX3 or F45 shocks.

I hope that's true, we'll see. I dragrace as much as I autox. In my case, a stiffer rear shock should help my 60ft.
The guy from OC Crovette Told me that some are taking the "leaf Spring" (I know it is called something else) out and putting Coil overs on our '84s.
That's intresting.
