Default Brand New LT4 crate engine available

This is a BRAND NEW LT4 crate engine which is availble at a ridiculously low price!

If my own engine was not in such great condition, I would definitely purchase this one!

damn... how cheap is cheap?

and without the LT4 intake, it could get expensive making it into a 'modern' LT4 again.

Their website is a cluttered mess.

The LT4 Performance Crate Engine Kit has been discontinued by GM. They are no longer available and can not be obtained. This page will remain here for information purposes only.

The only part in an LT4 which can be found in an LT1 is the block. Every other part has been upgraded for durability and dependability. If you look hard enough you can find a list showing all the parts in an LT4 which were beefed up by the factory.

When I purchased my Vette in 96, I only had to pay $1,450.00 for the LT4 option. At the time, I thought that was a steal.

To pay less than $6,000.00 for this technology, I believe is a steal today.

If someone already had an LT4, which they wanted to build to be more powerful, this would be a great engine to have lying in wait in their garage.

um hell no thats a rip off... if your gonna spend that much money on somthing like this, http://www.bbperf.com/sub_nav/comple...treet_434.html if you look thru those engines youll find out how much of a rip this price for this engine is if your looking for horsepower.....but im young i dont believe in buying somthing expensive for the sack of storage and calling a collector. maybe this engin is worthe it if you want somthing more rare.

Six thousand is a lot? I don't think so. Not for a brand new engine. This is no plain jane engine. Someone's gonna buy it and that will be a good deal.

This engine is still available. Gilbert Chevrolet got their hands on what is probably the ONLY OEM LT4 engine still available.

If you go to the site and look at the top left hand corner of the page you will see "Clearance Parts". Click on that. Drop down on the page to the engine listings and you will find this engine.

$5,795.00 and it comes with the newly designed aluminum intake manifold for a carb, block-off plate for the Optispark, water pump, HEI distributor & cap and the torsional damper.

You have got a bulletproof engine that will rev up to 6,300 rpm.

yah dude listing this as a clearnace item is a joke thats like double what its worse to a collector. using the engine will bring it and your cars value down. your car will no longer have the matching numbers. plus if your selling this as a horsepower engine you have to keep in mind that engine is out dated. we can get a better complete engine with more horsepower for 3000 now if were gonna shop clearance.

At that price, that's an LS-1 engine complete from oil pan to intake manifold with wiring harness and ecm.

Then again....it is the hottest gen 2 smallblock offered by GM. Tough call on the price.
