Stripped Torx Bolt
Like a dummy, I stripped out the front driver side torx Targa roof panel bolt. I tried going to the larger size socket and then a screwdriver, but neither will move the bolt.
Has anyone had experience with a stripped torx bolt on the Targe roof? I seem to recall when I worked on cars years ago that a reverse drill bit was the answer. Get it in far enough to grab and then reverse it to take out a bolt.
I am open to suggestions please.
An update.
I now have both cooling fans working
, well on low anyway. The AC now works, and does it make a difference. The fans do work on high when the AC is engaged. I will save for another day what it turns out the previous owner had done (i.e all the relays were switched around). Without the FSM I would been lost on this one.The Hines FSM has already saved me a bunch of money. I join others in saying that the FSM is a great investment. My thanks to the sage members here who suggested it.
Thank you for your time.

Go to your local hard ware store...And purchase an EASY OUT kit. Best 20 bucks you'll ever spend

correct. and when you start to drill the hole start with a very small diameter hole like a number 40. If the kit doesn't come with one buy one. Starting small will allow you to hit the center of the fastener and then when you open it up to the larger size the drill bit won't go through the side of the bolt and into the threads of the nut.
