Automatic. Floor shift or not?
Hey. With an automatic transmission, some people say that as the tranny is about to shift, take your foot off the gas a little bit. It helps the transmission shift and it's easier on the gears.
Some people say that's bad. It disrupts things in the tranny and it could hurt life over time.
What do you think?

Well, how about during normal driving? I do this all the time, even when driving slowly.. I never allow the car to shift itself - soughta speak. I help it along every time..

I do the same.. I use the throttle to control the tranny. Especiallly when it's in 2nd and I'm speeding up, i'll give it more throttle to keep it in 2nd longer ... of course every time I do this i break the speed limit, which is why I can't keep holding it through 3rd :(.
