Default Sad Day !

Hi Guys, just sitting here waiting for the flatbed .I just got it out of the paint shop and now it is going to the repair shop . Apparently , mice got in the exaust over winter and built a nest , it ran fine for two days then started acting up . We were gonna have a new exaust put on , so we cut off the old one , two mice nest !! But now it has a leak in fuel rail , ect .ect , so off it goes to the repair shop !!!!!!!!!!

Just needed to vent my anger for a moment !!

That sucks. Someone told me to put fabric softener sheets in the tail pipes to keep the animals away. It could be a bunch of , but I haven't had anything climb in there yet.

I hate mice.
I had a couple of their nests in both of my A/C unit at an unstaffed telecom site in the desert, pulled out 16 dead ones and caused the entire site to stink real bad.

They have yet to touch my car.

uh, why replace the exhaust because mice were in it? They can't chew it... remove and blast it clean.

Sorry to hear that! Hope all is fixed soon.

I love my cats. Even though they sleep on the roof, they keep them away.

No need to buy a new exhaust unless you just want one.

If this was the excuse needed to get that new exhaust, thank the mice.

I don't think a mouse nest could cause the car not to run.

I think you need to take advantage of the situation, buy lots of new stuff you've been wanting. Of course you will blame the husband and make him feel bad It will make him feel so much better, spending ALL that $$$$ on you
It's always a bummer to see a Vette on a flat bed

if the mouse crawled into the pipe, built a nest, the first time the car started, little mousie would be flying far and free...

sad ti hear that car anint running..

But...arent those Borla SS mufflers on the car... They have a complex "tunnelsystem inside", can the mice really get trough the muffler system...
And if they are in there, wont they got shoot right out at fire up?

Or is the theory that the crawl up the headers, trough the exhaust valves and start eating the engine from the inside...

If it makes you feel any better I went back home to Louisiana in March to see about getting my vette towed up here, popped the hood and was assaulted by wasps. Since the car has been sitting in a garage for 6 years now, I have a lil menagerie going under the hood, wasps, spiders, I wouldn't be entirely surprised to find mice. Long story short I need to get it trailered up to Oklahoma so I can delouse the damn thing.
