4+3 help, HELP!!
I have a beautiful 1988 black/ black w/ 4+3 Doug Nash Trans. with now 95k on the odometer, my problem; Car while in 4th O/D will slip into 4th gear regular while driving down the hiway at 60mph and then seconds later jump back to 4th O/D. More information; when in 4th O/D and I punch it "go faster," the car does what it is suppose to and down shifts into 4th gear but when I let up on the pedel the car will sometimes stay in 4th gear and not transfer back to 4th O/D. More information; when in 4th O/D, punch in, back off the gas the car will go back into O/D but then will slip back into 4th gear and then back into O/D basically going between O/D and regular output. Additional info; Car will sometimes perform this situation while in 3rd and 2nd O/D.
My question: What is going wrong?
How do I fix it?

when you change the tranny fluid ask the guy at the parts store for a filter for a 69 "ford" rachero with a 5.7 liter. Autozone has 'em for $7.00 as apposed to $19.99 + shipping from Mid America.
