Hi All,
New to the forum and new to corvettes. I just purchased a low milage 1996 convertible and was wondering about any known troubles with this model. It is unmodified, with the LT-1 motor and an automatic. Any guidance woud be appreciated. Looking for a reputable place to take it in Virginia when I am ready for performance "enhancements" ,as well.
Thanks,
Maggie
Welcome to the Forum and congrats on the ride. part of the initiation here is to post pics so everyone can enjoy your vette. You should also add some details to your profile. VA is a big state, what area are you looking for a shop in?

Hey Maggie, Welcome aboard. With a low miles car hopefully you won't have any problems soon. If anything does go wrong just ask here and you'll find that this bunch is more than ready to help. Enjoy your new car, and do post pics we would love to see your car.
Welcome and congrats on the new ride! Tell us where you are in VA. Also, you might post the same question in the regionals section (southeast) which is on the front page of CF, down about 2/3.

Overall, a low mileage '96 should be as good as a C4 gets. Maintain it, drive it and enjoy. And when you get ready to start modifying it, you'll find no shortage of ideas and help around here. Congrats on a great car and welcome to the madness!

If you are in Northern Virginia there are a couple of places:
Coopers Corvettes - Occoquan (sp)
Koons Chevrolet - Tysons Corner (make sure Joe is still working there)
