Hood Rattle latch question

Alright going down the road my car sounds like a friggen babys toy and i found out where the problem is comming from. The pass side latch on the hood. How do i tighten it up so i can take up the slack from when its closed.

I think i fixed it i took a flat head and tightend it up i havent took it down the road yet but it took the slop away.

You should be able to loosed the big nut and turn the pin, with the spring around it, with a flathead screwdriver to tighten the sping a little.

I was doing that but I could see the hood bouncing around and that was annoying the hell out of me. But yeah I got it fixed loosened the big nut at the base and tightend the pin with the flat head. and now it is all good.
