For what it's worth -- the 93's have somewhat narrower tires on the front (255/45 on 8.5" wheels) vs. rear (285/40 on 9.5"). This is not the top handling option, but it does a nice job of reducing front end wandering, and still handles quite well. Just a thought...............

ya i know it does look better but it seems alot of guys are running the same size all around, for what im looking at there is a couple hundred bucks diff between the two wheel/tire packages

been thinking it over and i don't see any real benefit in the staggered set plus the cost is a bit more so i think im gonna go for the 17x9.5's all around

My car had staggered when I bought it. The fronts had about 75% thread but the rears were slicks. I put same size all around so I could rotate front to rear.

Mine are staggered 17x9.5 front and 17x11 in the rear. No need to rotate, as most performance tires are directional..... and the Sumitomo's tires I run are very resonable on the wallet

I don't have ZR1's, but I did drop the size of my front wheels by an inch- it made a small, but noticeable, improvement in handling (I have 8.5's up front and 9.5's in the back)

I like the staggered look. Looks in my opinion.

Mine are 9.5's all around now but I am hoping to go 10.5 in the rear and 8.5 in the front next year. Just a thought right now though.

for hard driving the staggered makes the car push, I'd put the biggest rim possible and adjust the suspension for it. But for a DD do whatever you like/can afford. I have a staggered setup because I got my good rims used and that's how they came.

I have 17x10s in the front (285/40)
17x12s in the back (315/35)

I got them off ebay, thinking they were 9.5/11.5s and the seller was mistaken.

285s are a little wide for the front, and going to 275s when they need replacing. They turn fine, but its not as nible as the handling should be.

I almost went with 9.5" on all four corners until I talked to the C4 guy at the car shop I went to. He said that GM went to the 8.5 in front to stop front end push that the earlier models were getting. The staggered wheels are for more nibble street driving. you don't need the fat front tires until you are doing some very hi-speed cornering... So I'm rolling 245/45/17 and 275/40/18 and hoping to hop up to a 255/45/17 and 295 or 305/40/18 when I have to do my next tire change.

Ummm, why wouldn't you be able to rotate a directional tire????

BTW, I'm running 17x9.5 in front and 17x11 out back.

You could rotate from front left to rear left if they are the same size only.

I have 17x9.5 and 18x10.5 factory Z06 wheels, you will never see me go back to 255s up front. There is NO push in my car now compared to before. There's a reason the Z07 and Z51 suspension had 275s up front. I have 285s up front and 295s in back. Car handles like a dream now. I autox a good bit and hit some 130mph turns in other areas as well. There are some 50mph turns I hit with 255s that would make the car push, but not anymore.

Ideal rotation is left-to-right and back-to-front. You can't do that with a directional tire. You can do the front-to-back however

Actualy you could even rotate in that manner, but you'd have to dismount the tires and remount them...............but I guess that would be a PITA to do every 6k.

I went with 4 17X9.5 rims with 285 width tires to be able to rotate. I like it, but may go with 275s next time to keep the steering from following the grooves in the road as much.

I'm running the same size but in Goodyear GS-D3's and my rears need replaceing, how do you like the Sumitomo's?

As far as this post is concerned the staggered ZR-1's are the best looking way to go!!!!!
