Can somebody help me? I just had a new alternator installed and everything was fine until about a week ago. The 91 starts fine except for about after 15 times it will not turn over. There is no problem with the battery. If I let the car sit for a while and try to start it it will start. This is very annoying. Anybody have any suggestions as to the problem.
Thanks!

Let me clarify. The car starts normally for a few days. What I mean by 15 is it willstart about 15 times normall then nothing. All the gages work but the starter will not even turn over. There is no sound at all. It's like the battery is dead but it is fully charged. This is a 6 speed tranny. I was thinking maybe the ignition or starter could have a dead spot. the weird thing is that after it sits for a while it will start right up.
Can I have more ideas??? I TRIED THE OTHER KEY AND SAME THING!!
Need more info. Do you mean it will not start when hot, or what is meant by 15 times? Does it click, or just nothing. There are lots of possibilities such as vats, neutral saftey switch, cables loose, bad starter, etc. Little more info about the car (auto?) and symptoms will help.

Could you mean "15 minutes"? And also what aminnich is asking is whether the car's a manual trans or automatic.
To head off the usual vats answers, when this happens, check the security light to see if it goes out. If it keeps flashing, it maybe. But probably it will go out after a couple of seconds, which means something else
VATS, worn pellet, worn contacts in the igniton switch, faulty starter solenoid. Get/use a different key with the same pellet resistance and cut and see if it helps.
You could also pickup some lock conditioner spray from the auto parts store and give the lock cylinder a couple blast. It may be a UTD issue (VATS) due to metal shavings in the lock from years of use.
I just had the exact same problem with my car I went through all the hassel of pulling the dash apart and cleaning the connectors on the security and VATS modules with contact cleaner. After all of that it ended up being a $12.00 ignition switch.

My guess is it's your key or a VATS problem. Mine has done that a few times. I can trick it by pulling out the key, opening and closing the door, and then trying again. It always starts on the retry. I got 2 new keys made and no failure yet. You can see the wear on the old pellet.
