Default Need a part number

I need the part number for the front spoiler on an 89. I'd like to check gmpartsdirect for their price before I go to Ecklers or Midamerica.

I looked around hoping there would be a sticky with part numbers for our cars but didn't find anything. Also tried searching but no luck.
Is there any link where I can always go to find a part number for my car? Thanks!

I'm not sure if an 89 spoiler is the same as a 93, but i have a log on my computer at home where i keep part #'s and such. The new front spoiler set i got was a reproduction set, so i don't think i wrote down the part #'s. I'll check when i get home, unless someone posts a response before then.

Actually the newer body cars have a slightly different front air dam. I think it's shaped a little differently and it's slightly shorter. I could be wrong though.

The correct part numbers are dependent upon whether the car is equiped with the "Z-51" option or not.

Z-51

Deflector, Air-LH - 14089635
Deflector, Air-RH - 14089636
Deflector, Air Ctr - 14089634

Non Z-51

Deflector, Air Ctr(Short) (Exc Z-51) - 14043137

Apparently the Z-51 assembly is three parts while Non Z-51 cars had a one piece deflector. I can't make much sense of that from the illustration in the GM Y Body Parts Catalog.

(Caveat-GM has a habit of changing part numbers every few years. You may have to cross reference these numbers with a dealer).

Thanks! Funny, I thought all FX3 cars were Z-51 cars and my deflector is three pieces, interesting.

According to the Corvette Black Book you are RIGHT. FX3 was ONLY orderable with the Z-51 suspension in 1989.

More reading:
It's not clear if the same rules applied in 1990 but there are fewer FX3 options than the combined total of ZR-1's and Z-51's. From 1992 on, FX3 could be ordered for all Vettes except the last year, 1996, when F45 Selective Real Time Damping was available instead of FX3.

For what it's worth, I bought the replacement from Mid America for my 1994 it was about $50 and I think it looked just like the ones I took off (except without the scracthes and age) but rather identical, so I'm saying I'd go with that, the original GM is surely twice more or so. Here are a couple pictures of the new ones on my Vette, and yeah they are different then the ones on yours.

Wow, what a great looking Vette! Super clean too!

According to gmpartsdirect, each piece is about $19. So it would be cheaper just to go with Ecklers.

I actually have to order one for my Vette and my daily driver, a 96 Aurora. The Aurora's is only $21 from gmpartsdirect. That's what got me thinking they might be cheaper for the Vette's deflector too.

Thanks for the help everyone.
