wave with hand still on wheel?
wave out the window?
wave out the top if top is off?
wave with one finger with hand on wheel?
wave with two fingers with hand on wheel?
wave with 4 fingers with thumb on wheel?
wave with all five?
Wow this thread is getting to complicated
I usually go for the, "stand up in you driver seat with both hands out the roof, while dancing a jig....
If it is an attractive female driver, I also go out of my way to not only wave, but give them my phone number and tell them if they need anything, anything at all give me a shout.

I was at a stop light, conersing with my dad who was attending a show with me, and someone going thru the light in the other direction honked their horn. I looked to the left to see what the honk was for, and a C5 guy waved.
Hmm... interesting... being a roadracer, sportbike rider, AND cruiser rider, I've always wondered why other Harley riders are such a$$holes.
My thoughts are, wave to everyone on 2 wheels while on 2 wheels... wave to everyone in a Vette, while in my Vette.
Simple.
I'd never wave at a sport bike rider that thought I was an a$$hole because of the type of bike I got, but then again, how whould I know?
So I don't wave at them, but I will nod.
Here is a wave from a C5 guy! I wave at ALL Corvettes since there are currently 2 C5's a C4 and a C3 in my family! It's a tradition we all should respect!
I've been doin the two finger wave thingy. I got the thumbs up once from a red '90 similar to mine, that was cool.
This one time I saw this passanger in a red c4 with her head out the window and two hands flailing in the air, that was a good wave that was right on highway one if it was ne of you good going
I still am waiting for the day when I can pull over to assist another vette, thats gotta be cool.
I wave at other Corvettes.
I used to have an International Scout, and other Scouts would waive at me.
I used to work downtown and wear a suit. Other guys in suits would look at me and nod when walking on the street.
It seems like there's a pattern.
What can I say we recognize our peers in the rat race :-P

Its a nice tradition. I also drive a newer land rover and people with land rovers do not wave back at eachother.
Ive never had anybody from one generation not wave back.
