I've used a hair dryer to heat up the adheasive or let sit in the sun. The letters will pop off with a little pressure. Remove any residue/glue with "Goo Gone".

I put Polished Stainless Steel letters right over the stock letters.

The thought has crossed my mind to remove my rear corvette lettering, changing it from red to chrome. With No intention to hijack, but, any thoughts on the color change? My fuel rail covers have red lettering as well. But i think rear chrome lettering (and chrome fuel rail cover lettering) would go well with my chrome wheels.
