The high and low side ports would have different fittings on them. Most likey if they are blue and red, it was- if they have black caps, its probably still R12...

1994 and up are R134.
Frankly if you're not the original owner, I'd take it to a shop and have them tell you what's in it. A lot convert and don't note it or change the fittings. R12 is a threaded fitting and a conversion should be using Quick Connects threaded onto those old fittings; but what should be and what is aren't always the same.

on my '84 there is a sticker on the piece right behind my front right tire, it has been converted and the sticker says when, who, where...
