Default Head Lamp

My 1990 right head lamp turns but does not stay up or return to down position. You can hear the "motor" but lamp does not move.
The left lamp is perfect.
Any cures?

Maybe i'm just not correctly understanding your post,...... So the motor runs but the headlamp doesn't move at all? or does the headlamp move, but just gets stuck in the up or down position?

Default Head Lamp

From a closed position the head lamp opens partially but the motor continues to run and then stops. Head lamp remains in that position when turning the lights to off.

Sounds like you need to replace the 3 headlight bushings.

Sounds like your bushings to me. Order some and read this article while you're waiting on them.
