Help with hesitation/stalling
Hello all..new here on the forum. I'm hoping to get some opinions on the following problem. I have an 86 stock vette, it cranks right up and drives fine until I stomp the gas quickly. It acts if it's going to stall, I let of the gas and it's fine. If I accelerate steady all is well. Also, if I'm parked and stomp the gas it seems fine, no hesitation or missing that I can tell. Dosen't seem to matter if it's hot or cold. Any help would be great. I've searched for anything that my be already posted in the forum but haven't come up with anything. If the answer lies somewhere within please just point me in the right direction. Also, forgot to mention..the vette has recently been tuned up and new plugs,wires, and fuel filter have been installed. Thanks again for any help or suggestions.

Get a fuel pressure guage and tape it to your windshield. Observe the fuel pressure at key on, idle, cruising, decelerating, and WOT. It should not move much if any during the whole process. If the pressure falls during WOT then you have a weak fuel pump. If not then move on to air or spark. Looks like you replaced the fuel filter already.
Is the Service Engine Soon light on at anytime??

Sorry I didn't answer the last question about the service engine light. No the service engine soon light has not come on. I will try to get a fuel pressure gauge and try what you have suggested. I will also try the fuel injector cleaner as well.
