I tried searching but did not come up with any pointers on C4 carpet replacement. I am looking at replacing the carpet in my 91. Seems everybody offers it. I figure most are coming from the same place, but I do not know who is actually making it? Price is not the biggest concern. Who do you reccomend?
When my time comes, I'm buying from www.tld-corvette.com I may actually buy it this weekend since I will see them at Carlisle and get a show sale price.
Average price is around $500.
Installing it is easy, start removal from the rear of the car and work forward, install from the front and work your way back.
There are a lot of hidden screws in the console area, you shouldn't have to force anything, if it won't move look for the reason why.
I did the swap in my '93 in less than 30 minutes(I already had the seats out, but it can still be done quickly)
Corvette America (www.corvetteamerica.com)makes and sells carpet sets in original mass back and also offers less expensive versions. They're all cut using the original dies from GM, and they're formed to fit right in (mine did, looks like brand-new 3 years later).
I've read other posts here stating that Corvette America also makes the sets for other distributors, like Corvette Central, Ecklers, etc. But I don't know if that's true.

I've said that, I only know this to be true because I've bought from the others and it came in Corvette America packaging.
Well I have to chime in here. I just got a set from Midamerica, and I'm not happy! I found three pieces that fit awful, as in they are too small. The worst offender was the rear mat, it was like 6 inchs to short. I will post an update after Midamerica responds to my issues.
See, now I just replaced the rear carpet in my '86 with Mid America, and it turned out great. I can see how quality could be spotty, though; think about how much product they put out. Carpet came all crunched up in a box. I laid everything out in the sun to make everything more pliable, and in the end it went right in and looks great. Take your time and it'll be fine.
Corvette America sells auto custom carpets I bought a set from them last year and it was in a Auto Custom box when it arrived. I was told at the local club cruise that MA sells interior stuff made on the old Jon's Corvette molds which is quite possibly why there is not a Jon's Corvette Interior in business now.
