Pic - Stock wheels cool?
I pretty well know what the majority will say! I'm ready for it.
It's always nice to have a few sets to pick from when you feel like changing it up.
At any rate, I think my favorite stock C4 wheels are the later sawblades (i.e. on the 91+ cars, I think, right?). I have to admit that I like these even better than the ZR1 5-spokes.
I've been seriously considering going back to the stockers on my 90 vert.
I think the wheels ought to compliment the car (which yours do) rather than the car being a showcase for the wheels.
Just my crummy two cents.

My opinion: they're in such good shape and look great. However, having seen some of the recent pics of cars with new wheels, I'd say it's time for a change ONLY if you want a completely different look to the car.
I don't necessarily agree that new wheels stand out so much that they take away from the car, but they CAN. Some of the ones I've seen do just that. You miss the car. But then, in looking at the whole package you notice that the whole car has been transformed by the look of the wheels.
So far, however, what you're doing is banking money, hopefully making money on that money, and saving up more for an eventual (if ever) change to new wheels.
And yes, keep the old ones no matter if you buy new ones.

)Yours look very nice. I'd keep them.

)I did find that the selection of 16" tires was somewhat limited when it was time to replace the 20 year old Gatorbacks on my '85. To get around this, I purchased a set of AFS, ZR-1 style wheels in 17" to be able to use the Goodyear GS D3's. My originals are tucked safely away for possible use in the future.
By the way I had a conversation with the Goodyear folks at Carlisle and they seemed surprised to learn that the GS D3 was not available in the early C4 size of 255/50-16. It was as if they had written off the early C4's. I did get the impression that if they felt the demand was there, they might offer it in the early C4 size. I'm not holding my breath, but they promised to get back to me on some additional sizes they would be offering in the GS D3.

Personally Id polish them and leave em on.
