Fairfax???
Long story cut short. I purchased a 87 Convertible that had been imported from Japan, Now in Australia. After spending a lot of money importing parts the car now looks great. I recently got the build sheet from the museum to find out the car was delivered new to Connell Chevrolet in Costa Mesa CA.not exported to Japan as I thought. My question is does a Fairfax report give you a history of the car in the USA ?? I'm trying to find out where the car has been and the history.

Never heard of Fairfax, but if it's anything like Carfax, you have to watch it. They monitor this forum looking for folks who are not paying for their service, so we ended up having to disallow Carfax.(also, don't post the VIN)
You can try a local dealer, some give out info some don't.
In all honsety Carfax doesn't help much excpet for noting a change of ownership and documenting mileage.
Stuff like accidents that were never reported won't show up.
